The film revolves around Chandni (played by Sridevi), a beautiful and innocent young woman who falls in love with Raj (played by Rishi Kapoor), a charming and carefree individual. Their romance blossoms in the picturesque locales of Switzerland, where they share a whirlwind romance. However, their happiness is short-lived, as Chandni returns to India to marry the man her parents have chosen for her, Devi (played by Vinod Khanna).
